History of the All-America Football Conference

A quick review. I bought the book off Amazon and enjoyed reading through it. It's divided into four major sections: (1) history of the league, (2) Statistics for each team and each season, (3) Index, and (4) Linescores for every season.
The last three are self-explanatory and should require no explanation. The first part, the history of the league, is well researched and a good read. My lone complaint is the format. It is double spaced with very large margins around the page so the 103 page length of this section is in reality about half that.
Other than that, it is an enjoyable and informative read and, IMHO, worth the price.

Included because it covers the AAFC Championship games. A very nicely written book with a good write-up of each game and the circumstances, if any (such as the 1946 Filchock and Hapes gambling scandal), surrounding it. The write-ups on the games are very much like reading a detailed account of the action in a newspaper. They include game lineups and statistics but no pictures. Overall, a nice book on the subject; well worth the cost.
